ExCEL Academic League is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that provides homeschooled students the opportunity to participate in team and group activities. 

ExCEL organizes a variety of nationally sanctioned academic competitions and teams such as Science Olympiad, Ocean Bowl, Science Bowl, and Geography Bee. 

ExCEL also has a weekly co-op (ECHO) that offers a variety of classes to enhance the core education that students receive at home.

ExCEL Students' Accomplishments

Science Olympiad -- ExCEL's top Middle School division team has gone to the national tournament every year since 2004.  The team placed 11th in the nation in 2012 and has done as well as 2nd in 2009 and 4th in 2008.  They have traveled to Illinois, Georgia, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington DC in order to compete at the national level.  ExCEL's students have also earned numerous individual event medals at national competitions, including six 1st place, five 2nd place, seven 3rd place, eight 4th place, and ten 5th place medals.  ExCEL's top team has also taken 1st place at the Washington State tournament every year since 2004 except once -- they placed 2nd at state in 2006.

Our Mission

Our purpose is to offer challenging academic opportunities and peer support to homeschool students and their families in order to help build strong leaders, independent thinkers and service minded individuals. Specifically we will:
* Provide opportunities for academic challenges
* Provide forum of supportive peers and family for recognition and presentation
* Provide age appropriate opportunities
* Promote development of leadership skills
* Encourage social opportunities
* Provide resources and encouragement for new and established homeschool parents
* Discover opportunities for service in the community
